In the past, Business Angels - although under different names -
have often been sought through families and friends involved and
social clubs such as the Rotary, Probus, or the Lions Club, as well
as through alumni networks, schools, religious organizations, business
and personal associations, chambers of commerce, or amongst tax
advisors or attorneys.
"Business Angels Czech" (BA Czech) was established at the end of
the 2001 in Prague as a regular member of the European Business
Angels Network (EBAN), headquartered in Brussels. EBAN associates
almost all the major European organizations involved in capital
projects. The Business Angels project in the Czech Republic takes
advantage of the influence of our partners in banks and with private
investors, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The goal of Business
Angels is to seek alternative sources of financing for fast-growing
companies or projects with high marketing potential while does not
precluding assistance from Czech institutions. The opportunity to
cooperate with local companies, and support their start-up and fast
development of selected companies is one of the key elements of
this project .
